In 1935 the Australian subsidiary of General Motors’, Holden, came out with a Chevrolet coupe utility as well. While the body style of the El Camino didn’t make its debut on the North American market until 1957 with the Ford Ranchero, the first company to actually build a coupe utility was Ford Australia back in 1934. The El Camino had the body of an Impala with the Sedan pickup-truck back end and was one of the most iconic muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s. and I do have a free and clear title for the car which does match the VIN tag. Sometimes I don't respond right away but I will answer any questions that I can. Im sure I am missing something so please ask. In all I have tried to be very honest about the cars condition. I have most if not all of the handles which are original. I do have two new headliners, one tan the other white. I do have most of the interior which is included but not yet installed, such as two new door panels. The front seat is obviously not original. I do not have the handles.I have most if not all of the chrome trim, some new, which is included. The tailgate is rust free and I do have the interior panel and the attaching hardware. The quarters are solid, but the right quarter does appear the have had some below average, possibly amateur work done to it.The paint was done maybe 5 years or so ago and I think it would rub out well.

The manual windows and locks work as they should. If I were to keep the car I would replace the wiring harness as most components are currently dis connected and inoperative, however the original harness is all there,at least from what I can tell. The brakes work well and all the lines have been changed. New chrome brackets, the idler and the belt. However included in this sale is a very nice serpentine belt setup which includes a new P/S pump, new A/C compressor, new balancer and pulleys.
I would assume the heater core leaks since it is bypassed. The rear is a 10 bolt open rear and it has airshocks which need new lines.The original A/C compressor is missing, all the dash components for the A/C are present although I don't know how they function. The front end seems to be all original and it is tight even at hi-way speeds. The transmission shifts like a powerglide. The engine runs flawlessly with plenty of power and runs cool. The radiator is a champion radiator with a flex fan. The car has stock manifolds with dual exhaust which is good but needs to be buttoned up.The transmission is a rebuilt powerglide.
It currently has a 2 barrel manifold with a new 2 barrel Rochester carbuerator, and electronic ignition.
Presently there is a 1975 GMC truck 350 engine in it which has been rebuilt. It was originally equipped with a 283 and a powerglide which are long gone. This is a factory V-8,air conditioned car.
